Layers

Layers keep a busy floor plan readable: mechanical on one layer, electrical on another, fire safety on a third. They’re also a permission boundary — a contractor can be granted just their own layer from the estate’s Users & Access page.

What you can do here

• Create a layer — name it and choose its appearance.
• Show or hide layers — control what the floor plan displays.
• Edit or delete — rename, restyle, or remove a layer.

Good to know

Assets choose their layer when they’re placed. Deleting a layer doesn’t delete history — but plan your layer set early: it’s the vocabulary your whole team will file things under.
